I have a Cuban friend who hosts a pig roast every summer - apparently, it's what Cubans do when they get together. Happily, no crickets involved at his party. Just great sangria, and the pig.
Thank you, Lecia! That pig was pretty astounding, cooked by Oaxacan transplant to upstate New York. That crispy skin! (And I even enjoyed the crickets...)
My Madeleine: stories of taste, memory and experience. What began as the record of a fledgling culinary career now continues as one of recovery while I slowly regain a damaged sense of smell.

Looks so good!! I don't know about the crickets but they appear rather crispy and delicious? Hm. Love the barn. Great pics.
I want to go to there!
Hannah: crispy and delicious, yes! Surprisingly, yes!
Olga: road trip!
